About the foundation

Perform Europe is a European support scheme for the performing arts, launched in 2020 as a pilot project by the European Commission and continued as a partnership from 2022. It aims to rethink how performing arts works are distributed across Europe, fostering cross-border collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainability. The scheme provides grants and capacity-building for partnerships that tour or present performing arts in innovative ways, with a focus on green practices and reaching underserved audiences. Its ethos is collaborative and experimental, encouraging applicants to challenge traditional touring models and to consider the environmental and social impact of their work.

Application guidance

Applicants should carefully read the open call guidelines, which typically require a partnership of at least three organizations from different Creative Europe countries. Proposals must demonstrate a clear vision for sustainable and inclusive touring, with a well-considered budget and timeline. It is advisable to start early, build a strong consortium, and articulate how the project will reach new audiences and reduce environmental impact. The selection process is competitive, so clarity of concept and feasibility are crucial.
