About the foundation
The Trailblazer Initiative Nigeria is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering social change through community-driven arts and cultural programs. Founded to address the lack of platforms for emerging Nigerian artists and cultural practitioners, it emphasizes participatory projects that engage local communities in dialogue and creative expression. Its core mission is to empower underrepresented voices by providing resources, mentorship, and exhibition opportunities that prioritize process over spectacle.

Artists should approach with projects that demonstrate genuine community collaboration and a clear social impact. Proposals for the 'Community Engagement South' call should outline participatory methods, local partnerships, and long-term sustainability. Avoid generic portfolio submissions; instead, articulate how your practice aligns with the initiative's ethos of collective making and contextual relevance.
