Uwe Lüders Trust Foundation

Application guidance

Applicants should approach the foundation with a clear, well-articulated project proposal that demonstrates a serious engagement with contemporary artistic discourse. The selection committee values originality, critical rigor, and a coherent artistic vision over polished presentation. It is advisable to review past scholarship recipients to understand the foundation's taste, which leans toward conceptual and materially exploratory practices. The application process is typically announced annually; artists are encouraged to apply only when their work aligns with the foundation's ethos of sustained, process-driven inquiry. Avoid generic statements about career goals; instead, focus on the specific questions your work addresses and how the scholarship would enable its development.
