About the magazine

The New Verse News is a daily online poetry journal founded in 2005 by editor James Penha. Submitting your work

Submit one poem per reading period via email to newversenews@gmail.com. Poems should be under 50 lines, previously unpublished, and directly address a current news event or political issue. Include a brief bio and your name and email in the body of the message. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but notify immediately if accepted elsewhere. Response time is typically within a few days. The journal does not charge submission fees and acquires first-time online rights.
