The Art Explora x Cité Internationale des Arts residency for 2027 offers visual artists a period of focused work and international exchange in Paris. The Cité Internationale des Arts, a historic institution dedicated to hosting artists from around the world, provides studio and living spaces in the heart of the city. This partnership with Art Explora, an organization committed to supporting contemporary creation, underscores a shared investment in the mobility and development of artistic practice. While specific details regarding duration, stipend, and facilities are not currently available, the residency is designed to afford artists the time, space, and context to advance their work without the pressures of production. The Cité's environment fosters a community of peers across disciplines, and the Parisian setting offers rich opportunities for research, dialogue, and engagement with the city's cultural landscape. The selection process will be overseen by a jury of professionals in the field, ensuring that proposals are evaluated with an eye toward artistic merit and the potential for the residency to catalyze new directions. Artists are encouraged to articulate how a sustained period in Paris would intersect with their practice and to present a compelling case for their candidacy.
