Call for nominations: MIAF Board members

Overview
The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) is a pan-African non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the music sector across the continent. Its Management Board provides strategic oversight for initiatives that include the Music In Africa portal, the ACCES music conference, and various capacity-building programmes. This call seeks to fill six board seats that will become vacant in November 2026, offering a chance for individuals to contribute to the governance and direction of a key cultural institution. Board members are expected to bring expertise and commitment to the foundation's mission, which encompasses music, film, dance, and other performing arts. While the role is voluntary, it provides a platform to influence the development of Africa's creative industries at a continental level. The nomination process is open to MIAF members, who may apply themselves or nominate others who meet the criteria. This opportunity is best suited to those with a deep understanding of the African music and arts landscape, as well as experience in governance, fundraising, or strategic planning. The board's work is critical to sustaining MIAF's programmes and ensuring they remain responsive to the needs of artists and practitioners across Africa.
