Nantygreens, an organization dedicated to children's literature, announces a fellowship opportunity that includes a substantial prize for Nigerian writers. This year, the Nigerian LNG Limited prize category focuses on drama, with the winner receiving US$100,000—a significant sum that underscores the value placed on dramatic writing for young audiences. The fellowship seeks to support writers working in poetry, fiction, essay, short story, flash fiction, and visual art, though the prize category specifically highlights drama. The application requires a bio and cover letter, suggesting a curatorial interest in the artist's background and intent. While the deadline and fee are unspecified, the absence of a fee may indicate an open call, though applicants should verify. This opportunity is particularly relevant for Nigerian writers engaged in children's literature, offering both financial recognition and institutional backing. The focus on drama this year signals a curatorial vision that values performance and narrative for young readers, aligning with Nantygreens' mission to enrich children's literary culture.
