Chemical & Engineering News: Chemistry
Overview
C&EN’s editors are looking for compelling stories about the molecular world—from all over the world. We accept pitches from freelancers for news stories, profiles, features, and occasionally multimedia pieces. News stories usually center on a newly released study, or a development that affects the chemistry enterprise, including molecular angles to global events. Stories must first and foremost be rooted in molecules, but they can cover topic areas that range widely, such as chemical regulation and policy, drug or chemical industry trends, food safety, forensics, biomedical research, space, environment, critter chemistry, and more. ACS' award-winning BrandLab also employs freelance writers to craft custom content; please reach out to its editors if you would like to learn more about that work.
