Indigo Arts Alliance — Studio and Programming Administration Internship

Overview
Indigo Arts Alliance is a nonprofit organization whose work centers artists and creative professionals, and this internship places the selected candidate at the operational core of that mission. The role is administrative in title but curatorial in practice: the intern executes daily tasks, represents the organization to the community, and contributes to program planning, event setup and breakdown, and archive management. The position is designed as hands-on learning in nonprofit management, with exposure to a wide range of artists, creative professionals, and project management tools. The internship is offered through a hybrid model, combining virtual and in-person work, with in-person components contingent on COVID-19 and CDC guidelines. It is available to currently enrolled students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, as well as recent graduates who graduated within a year of the application period. There is no application fee. For a practitioner considering a life in the arts, this is an opportunity to observe how an arts organization functions from the inside—how programming is planned, how archives are maintained, how events are staged, and how relationships with artists are sustained. The work is logistical and community-facing, and it assumes a candidate who can move between research, coordination, and representation with composure.
