Moonstone Arts Center — Veterans / Armistice Day

Overview
Moonstone Arts Center is assembling an anthology that takes as its point of departure the distinction between Armistice Day and Veterans Day—a shift from the commemoration of peace to the commemoration of war. The project is inspired by W. D. Erhart's essay "Armistice Day vs. Veterans Day," published via The Massachusetts Review. Erhart, an ex-Marine sergeant and Purple Heart recipient, is a member of Vietnam Veterans Against the War and Veterans for Peace, and the author of multiple books. His perspective frames the anthology's inquiry into how we mark the end of conflict and the ongoing service of those who fought.
