Treefort Music Fest — Kidfort Submissions 2027

Overview
Kidfort is the family-facing program of Treefort Music Fest, a multi-venue festival in Boise, Idaho. The Kidfort stage operates across the festival's final weekend—Saturday and Sunday, April 3–4, 2027—and is dedicated to engagements created specifically for children. The call is open to a broad disciplinary range: music, dance, theatre, comedy, yoga, and other forms suited to young audiences. Young performing artists may also submit for consideration in the Youth Variety Showcase or for a set at Kidfort. Musicians whose work is kid-friendly but who wish to perform elsewhere in the festival are directed to a separate submission pathway; this form is exclusively for Kidfort programming. Accepted artists receive a minimum of $50 in cash, a five-day festival wristband valued at $350 for each group member, access to the Treefort Artist Hospitality Lounge, a bag of Kidfort goodies, and what the festival terms 'eternal glory.' There is no submission fee. The festival does not specify a prize beyond these terms, and no location is given beyond the festival's Boise context. The curatorial premise is straightforward: work made with and for young audiences, presented within a larger independent music and arts festival. Treefort's identity is built on discovery and cross-disciplinary adjacency, and Kidfort extends that ethos to family programming. Artists should understand that this is a festival slot rather than a commissioning or exhibition opportunity; the value lies in audience reach, peer adjacency, and the festival's hospitality infrastructure.
