Blinker Literary, Inc. is a literary organization that publishes new stories online and in print. This open call seeks visual art for cover art and interior plates, indicating a curatorial interest in colorful, narrative-driven imagery that complements the written word. The call is open to all visual artists, with no submission fee, reflecting an inclusive ethos. The selected artist(s) will have their work featured as cover art and/or interior plates, providing significant visibility within Blinker's readership. The organization highlights new stories online and maintains a volunteer editorial team, suggesting a grassroots, community-oriented approach to publishing. Artists are encouraged to submit only once per reading period, and simultaneous submissions are permitted with immediate notification upon acceptance elsewhere. The curatorial vision emphasizes original, non-AI-generated material that is colorful and likely engages with literary themes. This opportunity is best suited for artists whose work can function both as a striking cover image and as interior illustrations that enhance the reading experience.
