Treefort Music Fest — Youth Variety Showcase Submissions 2027

Overview
Treefort Music Fest, an annual multi-venue event in Boise, Idaho, operates a dedicated programming stream for young performers through its Youth Variety Showcase and Kidfort series. The Youth Variety Showcase is scheduled for Sunday, April 4, 2027, at the Julia Davis Bandshell stage. This open call seeks performing artists—musicians, dancers, theatre practitioners, comedians, yoga instructors, and others—who wish to present work either within the Youth Variety Showcase or as part of the broader Kidfort 2027 lineup, which specifically serves young audiences. The festival does not charge a submission fee. Selected performers receive a U-21 GA 5-Day Wristband granting access to the full Treefort week. Performers aged 12 and younger are not required to have a pass to attend, and they additionally receive a +1 Day Pass for an adult companion on Sunday, April 4th. No passes are required for audience members to watch the Youth Variety Showcase at the Julia Davis Bandshell stage. The curatorial scope is deliberately interdisciplinary within the performing arts, with an emphasis on work created for or by young people. The festival distinguishes between the Youth Variety Showcase—a platform for young performing artists—and Kidfort, which programs engagements designed specifically for children. Applicants may indicate their interest in either or both contexts. The submission form asks artists to describe themselves or their group and to outline what they propose to present.
