Culture Moves Europe: Follow-up Survey
Overview
Culture Moves Europe, a European Commission initiative, has supported the international mobility of artists and cultural professionals since 2022. This follow-up survey is not an open call for new grants but a structured inquiry directed exclusively at individuals who received funding under the programme between 2022 and 2025. The survey comprises twelve questions and is designed to be completed in a few minutes, requesting information about the recipient's professional experience since their mobility period. The institutional purpose is explicitly evaluative: the Commission seeks to measure the real impact of the action and to calibrate future opportunities to better fit the needs of artists and cultural professionals. Participation is therefore an act of sectoral stewardship, contributing to the evidence base that will inform subsequent funding cycles. There is no fee to participate, and the survey is conducted on a rolling basis. For the creative practitioner, this is a rare instance in which the administrative follow-up to a grant becomes a form of curatorial feedback. The questions are not promotional but diagnostic, and the responses will be aggregated to assess outcomes across disciplines. The survey respects the respondent's time, and its brevity is a deliberate design choice rather than a limitation.
