Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County — Cultural Arts Alliance Public Artist Directory

Overview
The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) maintains a Public Artist Directory as a resource for the county's Art in Public Spaces program. This open call seeks visual artists whose work is suited to public contexts—sites such as local businesses, libraries, recreation centers, parks, and sidewalks. The directory is not a commission itself but a pre-qualified pool from which artists may be contracted for design, fabrication, and installation of public art. Selection is based on past work, community engagement, and ability to collaborate with CAA staff and project liaisons. Artists accepted into the directory become eligible for inclusion on the CAA's Art in Public Spaces web page and are considered for various Walton County projects as they arise. The CAA does not guarantee a commission; rather, it offers a structured pathway for artists to be considered for public art opportunities. The selection panel screens all eligible applications, evaluating the strength of previous projects and the artist's capacity to work within community contexts. This call is open to emerging and established visual artists across all disciplines. There is no application fee. The deadline for submissions is July 1, 2027. Artists are required to submit a letter of interest, current resume or CV, artist bio, and a minimum of three examples of previous projects with work descriptions including image, title, media, date, dimensions, and location (if applicable).
