Tahoma Literary Review — Poems in Translation
Overview
Tahoma Literary Review, an established literary magazine, has opened its pages to poems in translation. This call extends the journal's ongoing commitment to diverse perspectives, particularly those underrepresented in the literary world. The editors state no fixed aesthetic allegiance, instead seeking work of singular quality. Translations are considered alongside original poetry, and the journal's existing format and rigor apply. Submissions may include up to six poems in a single file, with no more than one poem exceeding seven pages; a poem of ten pages or longer should be submitted alone. Crucially, the original-language texts must accompany the translations. A translator's note of 250–300 words is required in the cover letter, contextualizing the work, and biographies for both the translated poet and the translator must be provided. Upon acceptance, proof of publication rights will be requested. The journal charges a $4 reading fee. There is no prize or monetary award indicated; publication in Tahoma Literary Review is the recognition. The deadline is exact: November 1, 2026. This is a focused opportunity for translators who can present both the source text and a compelling critical frame.
