“I want a red to be sonorous, to sound like a bell. If it doesn’t turn out that way, I add more reds and other colors until I get it.” ~ Pierre-Auguste Renoir Fusion Art invites submissions for the Red 2026 art competition for an online exhibition during the month of November 2026. The color Red dominates human emotion as the color of passion, power, and intensity—from blazing anger to tender love. For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography using red as the primary color in their work to convey strong feelings and psychological depth. While red should be the predominant visual element, other colors can be used to enhance its emotional impact and meaning. This is an international open competition so any subject matter and any media are acceptable as long as red is the primary color used. All artists, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best representational and/or abstract work in any medium. Revised Schedule for This Competition From September 15th to October 15th, we'll be traveling through Europe exploring art in person after 8 years without a real break - so we're adjusting our schedule accordingly.
