Riddle Fence is a Newfoundland and Labrador-based journal of arts and culture, published three times yearly. It publishes fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, and visual art, and reviews online. The journal maintains a strong anti-AI policy, opposing the use of AI tools in all creative and organizational work; work found to be generated using AI tools will not be published, without exception. For visual art, the journal asks for up to 10 images at a minimum of 300 dpi. A selection of your best work aids the decision-making process. During image uploading, submitters are prompted to include requested metadata for each image. The submission fee is $40 CAD. The deadline for this opportunity is December 2, 2026. The journal's curatorial vision is rooted in its regional identity and its commitment to publishing writers and artists, with a clear stance against AI-generated work.
