Solicitud de beca para 2027 de Amplify Arts

Overview
Amplify Arts' 2027 fellowship is designed for artists whose practices engage with the complex civic histories, cultural traditions, and living ecosystems that shape a region. The program understands place as dynamic and contested, positioning artistic inquiry as a vital method for examining the intersections of social, political, and environmental systems. It supports a broad range of public-facing work, including installations that dialogue with their surroundings, editorial and book projects, films, performances, and other initiatives that operate outside traditional art venues. Over the course of a year, selected fellows receive $10,000 to fund their projects. The fellowship is structured as a small, cohort-based learning environment where artists learn from one another, receive tailored mentorship from art professionals based in Omaha and beyond, and engage in critical feedback sessions. This format prioritizes sustained dialogue and peer exchange over isolated production. The program seeks to cultivate a community of practitioners invested in place-based inquiry, offering both financial support and intellectual companionship. It is an opportunity for artists to deepen their engagement with the specificities of a region while contributing to broader conversations about how art can address civic and ecological realities.
