About the organization
Fundación Ama Amoedo is a non-profit arts foundation established to support contemporary artistic production and critical discourse. With a focus on Latin American and global perspectives, it provides grants, residencies, and platforms for artists at pivotal moments in their careers. The foundation's ethos is rooted in fostering experimentation, research, and dialogue, often prioritizing projects that engage with social, political, and environmental urgencies. By offering both financial and institutional support, it aims to sustain artistic practices that might otherwise remain underfunded or marginalized.

Artists should approach the foundation with well-defined projects that demonstrate a clear conceptual framework and feasibility. While the foundation supports a range of practices, proposals that articulate a critical engagement with contemporary issues and show potential for significant development are favored. It is advisable to review past grant recipients to understand the foundation's interests. Applications should be concise, professionally presented, and include a realistic budget. The foundation values authenticity and originality over polished but generic proposals.
