About the organization
Kunstverein Hannover, founded in 1832, is one of Germany's oldest and most enduring art associations. From its inception, it has championed contemporary art, providing a platform for emerging and established artists to present new work. Its core mission is to foster dialogue between art and the public through exhibitions, publications, and events that reflect current artistic practices. The institution maintains a non-commercial ethos, prioritizing experimentation and critical discourse over market trends.
