About the organization
LAS Art Foundation is a Berlin-based, privately funded institution dedicated to commissioning and presenting art that engages with emerging technologies, scientific inquiry, and speculative futures. Founded in 2020, it operates without a permanent collection, instead functioning as a nimble production house that realizes ambitious new works in dialogue with artists, researchers, and institutions worldwide. Its program is characterized by a commitment to process over product, often supporting long-term research and development that culminates in exhibitions, performances, and public programs across various venues.

LAS Art Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals. Artists are encouraged to follow the foundation's open calls and residency opportunities, which are announced on its website and social media. Given the institution's focus on commissioning new work, artists should demonstrate a strong conceptual grounding in technological or scientific discourse, a clear research trajectory, and the capacity to realize ambitious projects. Building relationships with LAS curators through studio visits, exhibitions, and professional networks is advisable, as most commissions are initiated through direct invitation or curated open calls.
