About the organization
MEPAINTSME is an artist-run platform founded in 2018 to support emerging and mid-career artists through open calls, online exhibitions, and print publications. Its ethos centers on accessibility and experimentation, providing a low-stakes entry point for artists to share work without the pressures of traditional gallery representation. The organization prioritizes process over polish, often highlighting works that engage with digital culture, identity, and material exploration.

Artists should review past open calls to understand the thematic focus and presentation style. Submissions are typically accepted via an online form, requiring a brief artist statement, CV, and 3-5 images or a link to a portfolio. There is usually a modest entry fee, but fee waivers are available upon request. Given the platform's emphasis on experimentation, works that push formal or conceptual boundaries are encouraged. Response times can vary, so patience is advised.
