About the organization

Project Infinity BP is a global literary and arts initiative that invites writers and artists to engage with deep time and cosmic perspective. Founded on the conviction that imaginative literature can bridge the vast scales of geology, astronomy, and human experience, the project commissions and publishes work that explores Earth's ancient past and distant future. Its calls for submission, such as the prompt to write a story about life on Earth when the Moon was forming, exemplify its commitment to speculative rigor and poetic inquiry. By fostering a community of writers who look beyond the anthropocene, Project Infinity BP seeks to expand the vocabulary of environmental and existential literature.

Application guidance

Writers should approach Project Infinity BP with a willingness to engage deeply with scientific concepts and to prioritize imaginative scope over plot-driven convention. The project values literary craft, originality, and a genuine curiosity about the natural world. Before submitting, read the full prompt carefully and consider how your story might illuminate the emotional and existential dimensions of its premise. Avoid clichés of apocalyptic fiction; instead, aim for work that is both intellectually rigorous and emotionally resonant. Simultaneous submissions are generally accepted, but notify promptly if your work is placed elsewhere. Response times vary, so patience is advised.
