About the organization
School Reading List is a UK-based educational resource that curates book recommendations and literacy initiatives for schools, parents, and young readers. Its children's writing competitions page serves as a directory of external contests, aggregating opportunities from various providers rather than running a competition itself. The organization's ethos centers on fostering a love of reading and writing in children by connecting them with trusted, age-appropriate literary challenges.

This page is a directory, not a competition host. Writers and illustrators seeking to submit work should follow the individual competition links listed on the site. For those wishing to have a competition featured, contact School Reading List directly via the details on their website; inclusion is typically free and aimed at non-profit or educational initiatives.
