About the organization

The United States exhibition at the Prague Quadrennial is organized by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) in partnership with the Theatre Communications Group (TCG). The Prague Quadrennial, held every four years, is the world's largest competitive exhibition of scenography and theatre design. The US exhibition showcases the work of American designers, artists, and companies, presenting a curated selection that reflects the diversity and innovation of contemporary US performance design. The open call invites artists to submit work for consideration, with the goal of assembling a national representation that engages with the Quadrennial's theme and advances the field's international dialogue.

Application guidance

Artists should carefully review the official call for entries on the TCG or USITT website for specific eligibility, thematic focus, and submission requirements. Prepare a concise portfolio that highlights recent, relevant work, and articulate how your practice aligns with the Quadrennial's curatorial theme. Adhere strictly to deadlines and formatting guidelines; late or incomplete submissions are typically not considered. Given the competitive nature, seek feedback from mentors or colleagues before submitting.
