About the organization

VIS (Visual/Media Arts Projects) is a curatorial initiative dedicated to the presentation of contemporary visual and media arts. Founded to support experimental practices that often fall between traditional disciplinary boundaries, VIS provides a platform for projects that prioritize process, research, and critical inquiry over finished, market-ready objects. Its core mission is to foster a space where artists can test ideas in public, with an emphasis on moving image, digital media, and interdisciplinary installation.

Taking part

Artists should approach VIS with a clear articulation of their conceptual framework and a willingness to embrace the unfinished. Proposals for the 'Visual/media Arts Projects: Presentation' call should emphasize the research and developmental aspects of the work, rather than a polished final product. Include documentation of past process-based projects and a concise statement on how the proposed project engages with media or visual art in a critical way. VIS values projects that are responsive to context and open to dialogue.
