Abbey Muza

Abbey Muza is an artist who uses weaving and other image-making to explore narration, identity, and abstraction. Their woven tapestries often bring image or text into abstraction, and they examine how queer histories can be retold through cloth. They were a 2025 Artist-in-Residence at Tusen Takk Foundation in Northwest Michigan, where they planned a series of pochoir-printed works. Muza has held fellowships at the Oxbow School of Art and the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and has shown at Tusk and Slow Dance in Chicago and at the Fondation des États Unis in Paris.
