Abdus Salaam

Abdus Salaam is a South African sculptor and poet whose practice draws on Abrahamic, Buddhist and Hindu traditions. His work is rooted in gesture and manual devotion. He spent a six-week production residency at NIROX Foundation in South Africa in 2024, which led to his solo exhibition 'Insaan: Human Being'. The residency's themes of humanity, spirituality and ecology were later shown at THK Gallery.
