Adrian Anagnost

Adrian Anagnost teaches the history of modern and contemporary art and space in the Americas at Tulane University, with interests in Brazil, the U.S., and Atlantic World networks. They were a 2025 scholar resident at A Studio in the Woods in Louisiana, where they worked on an exhibit about regional native plants. A Tulane newsletter lists their new book, De-globalizing the Art World, which examines the art world's shift toward rootedness, identity, and site-specific belonging.
