Aj Smith

Aj Smith is a visual artist born in 1952 in Jonestown, Mississippi, who works in drawing, silverpoint, graphite, printmaking, and watercolor. He was an Artist in Residence at the Studio Museum in Harlem in 1978–79. His work was included in the museum's 2002 exhibition Black Romantic and returned to the museum in a 2025 show of former residents. He is based in Little Rock, Arkansas, according to press coverage.
