Alejandro Jaqs

Alejandro Jaqs is a Spanish artist who works in painting and engraving, often using mixed media and wood. He trained in Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. His work centers on the interplay between randomness and deliberate human reasoning, and he rejects premeditated composition in favor of forms found through the process. In October 2019 he was a resident artist at KulttuuriKauppila in Ii, Finland, through the THE HUG cultural cooperation platform.
