Alexander Rynéus

Alexander Rynéus is a Swedish film director and artist who works with place, personal encounters and documentary film, often moving into essay, hybrid and fiction forms. He studied fine arts at Konstfack and documentary filmmaking at Biskops Arnö. His film The Story Machine (2020 residency, released 2023) grew out of Art Inside Out's residency in Hylte municipality and explores how stories shape and move between people and places. He appears as a performance artist in the Markings – 10 Years with Art Inside Out exhibition at Hallands Konstmuseum.
