Alexandra Bell

Alexandra Bell is a multidisciplinary artist born in Chicago in 1983 who works across media to examine narrative, news consumption, and perception. She reworks newspaper language and imagery to expose bias in coverage of race, politics, and culture. Her public projects include large-scale redactions and re-edited articles posted on walls. She was a Pioneer Works resident, and her honors include the 2018 ICP Infinity Award and a 2020 Artadia Award.
