Alexandra F. Light

Alexandra F. Light is a choreographer, dancer, and visual artist. She is a principal dancer with Texas Ballet Theater who is building a parallel career making her own dances. In 2023 she was the inaugural creative resident at Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House in Buffalo, where she created and performed Floricycle, a three-movement contemporary ballet. Her work often explores gender, diasporic ancestry, and the environment, and has been commissioned by institutions including the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and Katzen Arts Center.
