Alexis Callender

Alexis Callender is an artist whose studio practice combines painting, drawing and installation to examine archival narrative, economic history and colonial mythology. Per the listed pages, they are an Assistant Professor of Art at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and received an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. They have held residencies at Alice Yard in Trinidad (2019) and DRAWinternational in France (2016).
