Allison Wyss

Allison Wyss is a writer whose short story collection, Splendid Anatomies, was published by Veliz Books in 2022 and was a finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award. Her stories concern bodies, body modification, and art, science, and power. She writes the monthly Reading Like a Writer column for the Loft Literary Center, where she also teaches. Her fiction and essays have appeared in journals including Alaska Quarterly Review, Cincinnati Review, and Lit Hub. She has also conducted interviews with writers for The Rumpus and The Brooklyn Rail.
