Amanda Gutiérrez

Amanda Gutiérrez is a Mexican-born artist (born 1978) based in Chicago. Her work uses photography, video and sound to explore memory, home and urban landscapes in relation to migration. She blends documentary methods, oral storytelling and fiction. Her Time Topographies: Liverpool (2012) is a video triptych about immigrants living in Liverpool. She received a 2012 residency at FACT in Liverpool through the European Media Art Platform (EMAP).
