Andrea Vail

Andrea Vail is an interdisciplinary artist based in Western North Carolina who works with textiles, weaving tapestries and making knotless netted, tied, and crocheted sculptures from discarded materials. Her practice often invites community participation. She was in residence at Elsewhere Museum in Greensboro in June and July 2018, where she made Signalling Hello (Greensboro), a walking-and-greeting project with a window painting and a looped video. She was named to the 2025 WNC Craft Futures Cohort at Center for Craft.
