Anna Jekel

Anna Jekel is a painter, drawer, and printmaker based in New York City who works in mixed media. She began painting seriously during the 2020 lockdown after working as a costume designer. Her work deals with emotion, desire, depression, gender, and the human connection to nature. In 2023 she completed a residency at Field Projects Gallery, where she also held a solo show, Untamed/Untold.
