Annie Varnot
Annie Varnot is a New Mexico-based painter who works between abstraction and representation, with landscape as her central subject. Her practice was reshaped by long-distance hikes of the Pacific Crest Trail (2017) and the Continental Divide Trail (2019). She holds an MFA from UMass Amherst and a BS from Skidmore College. She was a Montello Foundation artist-in-residence in 2016.
