Apple Gidley

Apple Gidley is an Anglo-Australian author of historical fiction. A Historical Novel Society interview says they have lived in twelve countries. Their novel Have You Eaten Rice Today? was published by Vine Leaves Press in September 2022. The novel is set during the communist uprising in 1950s Malaya and follows a rubber planter and an Australian nurse whose love story unfolds against the Emergency. A later strand is set in Dorset, England.
