Ariana Martinez

Ariana Martinez is an interdisciplinary artist working across sculpture, audio, print, animation, and time-based media, based in the Bronx, New York. Their work examines spatial navigation, sensory perception, and place. They were an artist in residence at The Steel Yard in Providence, Rhode Island, in 2018. Martinez has held residencies at several arts organizations, including Arts, Letters & Numbers, The Ragdale Foundation, and the James Castle House. Their work has been shown at venues such as the Barbican Cultural Centre and UnionDocs. They also helped found Sound Fields, a publication on audio documentary.
