Avita Maheen

Avita Maheen is a Bangladeshi sound, media, and performance artist, writer, and curator who works under the name two4.41139. They are based in the Netherlands. Their practice links sound, space, and bodily experience, drawing on autoethnographic research. Maheen was a Titanik A.i.R. resident in Turku, Finland, in March 2024, where they developed a sound work based on Bengali children's folklore about grief. They later returned to Titanik in 2025 with the exhibition 120 decibel.
