Ayesha Durrani

Ayesha Durrani is a Pakistani contemporary miniature painter who combines traditional Mughal painting methods with experimental media. Her work often incorporates mixed media and fabric. She is listed on the ArtHere Istanbul team page. Her paintings are typically made on wasli, a handmade paper tied to Mughal-era papermaking, and they take up gender inequality, female identity and restrictive customs toward women. Roses and headless mannequins recur as motifs. A work of hers sold at Bonhams in June 2024.
