Ayza Akhtar

Ayza Akhtar is a South Asian diasporic artist, writer, and mixed reality practitioner based in Bradford, UK, who was born in New Jersey. Her work explores identity as something lived, negotiated, and continually reshaped, and resists the trope of being "torn between two worlds." She joined the Studio 88 Artist Residency in Chiang Mai in 2026 for its Evolving Identities programme, where she is investigating femininity as a sensorial, shifting experience.
