Barend de Wet

Barend de Wet is a South African sculptor known for conceptual, playful work. His 'Needles / Just William' piece, with oversized knitting needles and a giant green steel ball of wool, was shown at NIROX Sculpture Park in the Cradle of Humankind. Sources describe it as one of the more memorable works in the 2010 TWENTY exhibition. He trained in sculpture at the Michaelis School of Fine Art, UCT.
