Barnett Cohen

Barnett Cohen is a Brooklyn-based visual artist and choreographer whose work proposes a kaleidoscopic queer surrealism. Performances begin from text-based scores and are staged in the round. Cohen was in residence at Pioneer Works for Winter-Spring 2026. Cohen's poems were published by Open Space/SFMOMA in 2021 alongside those of Simone Forti. Their work has appeared in or been featured by outlets including BOMB, The New Yorker, and Artforum.
