Başak Tuna

Başak Tuna is an Istanbul-born critical spatial practitioner who works on infrastructures linking power, technology, bureaucracy and people. Her practice uses reverse engineering to take apart and rewind production processes. She completed an MA in Contextual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven in 2021. She was a resident at AIR InSILo in Hollabrunn, Austria, in 2023, where she developed DayLight Computer, a screen that runs on ambient daylight rather than built-in LEDs. Her work has been shown at the Istanbul Biennial and Dutch Design Week.
