Bruce Fisher

Bruce Fisher is an essayist focused on the American Great Lakes region, the Rust Belt, as a researcher, activist, and writer. He has a career in national and local politics and policy, including advising presidential and congressional campaigns. He returned to writing after more than a dozen years in public service. His 2018 Foundlings Press collection, Where the Streets Are Paved With Rust, gathers essays on Rust Belt communities first published in local outlets such as The Public. His earlier essay collection, Borderland (2012), addresses the US-Canadian divide.
